The Weekly Streaking Challenge

Small Habits. Big Change

The Weekly Streaking Challenge helps practitioners and programs turn good intentions into consistent habits.

Each week, Mockingbird introduces one focused strategy from the Habits Not Heroics Model—something simple, practical, and research-based—to strengthen daily teaching, coaching, and mentoring.

Build Consistency, Not Intensity

The Goal?

When you practice one small behavior at a time, you grow habits that last long after the challenge ends.

How It Works

1. One Focus Each Week

Every Monday, you’ll receive a short email introducing the week’s strategy—complete with a quick video and downloadable resources to guide your practice.

2. Commit to a 5-Day Practice Streak

Choose a time each day to intentionally use the strategy for five consecutive days.
This repetition jump-starts habit formation and builds confidence through consistency.

3. Reflect on Your Practice

At the end of your streak, take a few minutes to reflect on what worked, what surprised you, and how the strategy shaped your interactions or classroom moments.

4. Keep the Streak Going

Start the next week’s challenge and keep adding one new habit at a time.
Over time, small, steady practice transforms into powerful teaching, coaching, and mentoring routines.

Five Days. One Focus. Unlimited Growth.

Why It Works

e streaking model is built on neuroscience and habit formation research.
Repetition builds automaticity. Small, consistent effort rewires the brain faster than big, one-time effort.

Over time, these micro-practices create the predictable habits that make programs strong, stable, and sustainable.
