Methodology Curriculums
Our Talent and Development program helps programs create in-house expertise to train, develop, and support staff in the Mockingbird Methodology.
The Talent Develop Program includes a combination of training, coaching, and mentoring.
The resources for the three elements of the program are organized into three curriculums to make implementation easier and to maintain quality control.
Each curriculum is a different element of the Talent and Development model.
- Practitioner Curriculum: Prepare Practitioners in the Mockingbird Methodology
- Coaching Curriculum: Prepare coaches to coach staff in the Mockingbird Methodology
- Facilitator Curriculum: Prepare Facilitators to Lead Methodology Workshops and serve as demonstration teachers
The Methodology Coach Curriculum is designed for staff developers that coach staff in the Methodology Practitioner Curriculum. The curriculum is also appropriate for staff that want to learn a collaborative coaching approach for coaching practitioners in behavior-based strategies.
The Coaching Curriculum (Level One) is 16 units
8 units are dedicated to the knowledge and skills for understanding and using the collaborative coaching process. These units include:
- Unit 1: Understanding The Practitioner Curriculum
- Unit 2: Coaching for Talent Development
- Unit 3: Program Culture
- Unit 4: Elements of Improvement (Coaching Plan)
- Unit 5: Collaborative Coaching and Feedback
Stages of Growth - Unit 6: Respect the Gradient Maps
- Unit 7: Deliberate Practice as a Coaching Tool
- Unit 8: Tiny Habits as a Coaching Tools
8 units are dedicated to coaching staff in the Practitioner Curriculum strategies in the following units:
- Unit 1: Understanding a Biopsychosocial Approach
- Unit 2: Doors of Trust and Trust-Building
- Unit 3: Engagement Strategies
- Unit 4: Productive Participation
- Unit 5: Coaching Strategies
- Unit 6: Mentor Care Model
- Unit 7: Classroom Culture
- Unit 8: Program Consistency
Coaches provide support and mentoring through collaborative coaching conversations and feedback through classroom observations. Coaches are knowledgeable in the Practitioner curriculum strategies and experts in the collaborative coaching process for behavioral change.

Our coaching approach helps coaches develop the talent and skills for coaching staff in the Mockingbird Practitioner curriculum and in adopting general behavioral-based teaching, coaching, and mentoring strategies.

Mockingbird Methodology
Facilitator Curriculum
The Methodology Facilitator Curriculum is designed for workshop facilitators that deliver Mockingbird Methodology workshops and other workshops that use the Mockingbird workshop design approach.
The Facilitator Curriculum (Level One) is 16 units

- Unit 2: Facilitation for Experiential and Therapeutic Learning
- Unit 3: Environment Strategies
- Unit 4: Facilitation Cues
- Unit 5: Group Dynamics
- Unit 6: Presentation Formula
- Unit 7: Relationship Connections
- Unit 8: Visible Values and Visible Goals
8 units are dedicated to learning how to facilitate workshops in the following Practitioner Curriculum units

In this curriculum, workshop facilitators are mentors, coaches, and teachers. The facilitator teaches the research and rationale behind strategies and then models and teaches the strategies in the practitioner curriculum. The facilitators are experts in the strategies in the practitioner curriculum and models of what the behavior-based strategies look like in implementation.
