Webinar Description

Learn how vulnerability impacts trust-building and learn the 8 ‘framing’ strategies that Master Educators engage to reduce barriers, foster trust and promote relationships of transparency and trust with vulnerable learners. In this workshop you will explore the Stages of Trust Model, and learn how to use the subtle art of language framing to diminish power struggles and barriers that often prevent vulnerable learners from attachment and from trusting people in positions of authority, influence, and privilege (such as teachers).

Workshop Participant will be able…

Explain the 8 trust building strategies on the Wheel of Trust Graphic Organizer
Identify how each trust-building strategy can be used to communicate trustworthiness and overcome resistance and reluctance.
Evaluate research and rationale for using the strategies with vulnerable learners.
Describe the benefit and application of using the strategies as a tool for teaching vulnerable learners.
